Well done to the Senior Camogie team who had an impressive win over Doon in the Limerick Colleges semi final winning 1 13 to 0 4. It was a fantastic performance by all the players and we await the winners of Hazelwood and Rathkeale in the final.
Also last Tuesday we had a great training session with Gavin O Mahoney from the Limerick Senior hurlers.
Next up is a couple of camogie blitzes for Juniors and 1st years, a Junior semi final against Doon and the Senior final. A great effort has been put in by all so let’s keep it going for the last few weeks.

Our Laurel Hill senior soccer team played newport in newport last

etting our gear bags out of the bus boot) ready to play against a very strong team. Our girls put up a fight throughout the entire match and played extremely well using their skill and speed. The first half started strong when we held position of the ball for the majority of the time but were unlucky with scoring wide balls and against Ursilines’ defensive players. After an encouragi
Just a note on upcoming matches for the camogie squads. We have been placed in the Junior B Plate competition in Munster. This is a grade above what we played in earlier so a big performance will be needed. Our semi final is on Thursday 23rd of February against Ursalines Thurles. Best of luck to the girls. In the Limerick Colleges competition we have to play Doon in both the Senior and Junior competition. Best of luck to both teams. Mr McK
On Friday 20th the Laurel Hill senior basketball team took on Askeaton at the University of Limerick. It was a tense match as Laurel Hill wanted to be guaranteed a place in the semi-final of the school league. Fortunately this was achieved by the team performing fantastically on the day which resulted in another win. We’re very proud of our team! Congratulations to the girls and thank you to Alison and Mrs. Enright for their preparation with the team and organising the day. Also wishing the cadet team the best of luck with their match on Monday!
Our senior soccer team were faced with their first match of the season against Villers Secondary School. The game was played in Villers School on their AstroTurf pitch. It was a cold, wet day but this was no obstacle for the girls. We left with our coaches Mr.McCarthy and Ms. McEnroe. Tip was at half ten and we were lucky enough to be reffed by an official FAI referee. An eager yet unexperienced Laurel Hill team took on a strong Villers team. By half-time we were up one! And the end result was 2-0 to us! We were over the moon with our win!
Hard luck to the Junior Camogie squad who lost against a very strong Roscrea last Saturday. Our girls played very well but luck wasn’t on our side on the day. A big thanks to Mr. McKenna on behalf of the team for all his dedication, time and support without him they would not have gotten as far as they did this year. Well done girls for putting up a fight until the very end and thanks to all those who supported them. We wish the team the best of luck in there future matches.
