As the tickets become scarcer and scarcer, Laurel Hill girls and teachers are kept busy perfecting the stage layout, dance moves, back drops and solo lines. All week, a huge amount of energy has gone into selling tickets in the R.E room, painting in the Concert Hall and collecting for the raffle in the library and even those students who aren’t heavily involved in the musical itself are really enthusiastic about getting to see the cast’s performance. However, preparation and planning hasn’t ended yet. We would like to remind all cast members that rehearsals will continue over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the midterm. Students will meet at the gym at 9 a.m. each morning and practice will end each evening at 5 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a lunch as the lunchroom will be open for all cast members at break times. Ms Creaven, Ms Allen, Ms Lawless and Ms Maher are looking forward to seeing over seventy enthusiastic faces on Tuesday morning, ready to work hard and give it their all to ensure that this year’s “Back To The 80s” will be an unforgettable musical for all that come to Mary I and we feel that they deserve a huge “thank you” for giving up their midterm to rehearse with us chorus members and principles.
